Eileen enjoys working with clients who seek to learn more about themselves, and have the courage to meet themselves where they are, while acknowledging that may not be where they want to be.
Eileen uses evidence-based neuro-affirming and trauma-informed psychological interventions to support my clients to work towards their goals, strengthen their relationships and heal from trauma. She draws from various modalities including ACT, CBT, DBT, CPT, PE, ImR and EFT.
Eileen practices psychology that aligns with her personal values of Authenticity, Integrity and Compassion. She creates a safe non-judgemental space where there is room to talk about the hard things about being human with the shared understanding that we are all fallible, imperfect and doing our best, while also acknowledging that we can do better.

Eileen employs a holistic approach when working with clients, considering the role and impact of sleep, diet, exercise, and other lifestyle factors. Eileen’s main therapeutic approaches include Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Cognitve Processing Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy,
Gottman Method, Imagery Rescripting, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Somatic approaches, and Strength-Based and Trauma Focused therapies.

Eileen brings a warm and reassuring presence which is helpful in building connection and trust with her clients. Her work focuses on building an understanding of how past experiences connect with people’s beliefs, thoughts, and emotions.

Eileen graduated from Murdoch University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours).

Trauma

Trauma is more than a ‘life threatening event’, it is an event, memory, or thought that has caused a deep emotional, mental, or psychological injury to the person. We know that trauma changes the way someone think and views the world. Eileen works within a trauma-informed model with her clients. She understands the wide-ranging impacts of trauma on a person’s life, relationships, identity, and community. This understanding guides her work in helping people work towards building a sense of confidence and strengthening their life wisdoms and learnings after experiencing trauma.

Eileen recognises the impact of trauma on our sense of identity (who we are), safety within the world and with others, and trust. It is important that treatment addresses these aspects and Eileen focuses on assisting clients with creating a new and balanced narrative about their lives to empower clients for their life ahead.

Eileen is passionate about helping people who identify and/or deal with:
