Jennifer is a Clinical Psychologist with significant experience with young people, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, parenting and family therapy. Jennifer is passionate about helping young people, adults and families.
Jennifer became a psychologist because she enjoys connecting with people to help them work towards their own health and well-being goals. She is passionate about supporting people of all ages to overcome obstacles they may be facing, and to assist them to live the life they want to be living.

What type of therapy models does Jennifer use?
Jennifer is a dynamic psychologist with training in a wide range of therapy models including cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, Rogerian person-centred therapy, schema therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, motivational interviewing, family therapy, play therapy, psychodynamic approaches, behaviour therapy and a range of other creative-based therapies such as art therapy.
Does Jennifer do longer term therapy or psycho-dynamic therapy?
Jennifer is able to work in both short-term and long-term therapeutic models. She is experienced with longer-term models such as psychodynamic, rogerian person-centred therapy and psychodynamic therapy. Jennifer is focused on you and your goals and will help give you insight into your patterns of behaviour and ways to overcome your problems. Psychodynamic therapy focuses on unconscious processes as they show up in your life patterns now.
Jennifer is a Psychology Board of Australia Approved Supervisor. She has completed a Bachelor of Psychology, Masters of Clinical Psychology and is endorsed as a Clinical Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.
Do you need a referral to see Jennifer King?
No referral is needed to see Jennifer. However with a referral from your GP (mental health care plan), you can claim a Medicare rebate of $124.50 per session.
If you choose not to use a plan you may be able to use your private health. To determine if you are eligible for a private health rebate, please contact your private health provider, as this is varies depending on your level of cover.
When is Jennifer available for sessions?
Jennifer is available at the practice Wednesday evenings and Saturdays.
