Sharon Newick is a registered psychologist with significant experience and training in family and relationship therapy. Another area of passion is her work with young people, particularly those showing signs associated with suicide, depression and/or self-harm and their families.
Sharon has many years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families in many varied settings including private practice, crisis accommodation for the homeless, drug and alcohol residential rehabilitation, mine sites, schools, and other counselling practices.
Sharon is skilled in many forms of therapeutic interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy , Narrative Therapy, Multi Systemic Therapy, and Interpersonal Therapy. Sharon has a graduate diploma in Family and Relationship Therapy.
