Educational & Psychological Assessments
Educational & Psychological Assessments
Whether you are seeking to understand your child’s unique learning profile, exploring a diagnosis like ADHD or autism, or requiring a formal medico-legal report, our tailored evaluations are designed to provide clarity, direction, and actionable support.
We believe an assessment is a roadmap to unlocking an individual’s full potential. By identifying cognitive strengths, learning styles, and specific support needs, we empower educators, parents, and individuals to implement targeted and highly effective interventions.
Our Assessment Services
1. Educational & psychoeducational assessments
Ideal for children, adolescents, and adults experiencing barriers to learning, or those who may be intellectually gifted. This evaluation identifies the underlying causes of academic challenges and provides evidence-informed recommendations for school, university, or workplace accommodations.
- Specific Learning Disorders. Identifying dyslexia (reading and spelling), dyscalculia (mathematics), and dysgraphia (written expression).
- Cognitive & academic giftedness. Assessing for advanced cognitive abilities to support accelerated learning programs.
2. Neurodevelopmental assessments (ADHD & Autism)
We provide comprehensive, neurodiversity-affirming diagnostic evaluations for ADHD and autism. We understand that neurodivergent profiles often overlap, and our clinicians are highly skilled in differential diagnosis.
- ADHD assessments. In-depth evaluations including clinical diagnostic interviews, standardised behavioral rating scales across multiple settings, executive functioning tests, and cognitive screening where necessary.
- Autism Assessments: Detailed developmental evaluations utilising observational and interview tools to capture the nuances of the autistic experience across the lifespan, focusing on individual strengths and support needs.
3. Forensic & Medico-Legal Evaluations
Objective, independent psychological evaluations prepared for courts, insurance panels, or workplace tribunals. These assessments involve rigorous psychometric testing and comprehensive clinical interviewing to assess psychological injury, capacity, risk, or fitness for work.

The Assessment Process: What to Expect
- Initial consultation
- A dedicated appointment (often with parents only, if assessing a child) to discuss history, review previous reports, and determine the most appropriate pathway forward. This session is eligible for rebates and other forms of coverage.
- If an assessment is deemed the most appropriate path forward, the initial intake consultation fee is absorbed into the overall assessment cost.
- Information gathering. Completion of clinical questionnaires by parents, teachers, and/or the individual – mostly available digitally for ease of completion.
- Testing sessions. Face-to-face psychometric and clinical testing in our clinic. This usually involves 1 to 2 sessions of up to three hours depending on the complexity of the assessment.
- Analysis & report writing. Your psychologist will score the assessments, analyse the data, and draft a comprehensive, actionable report (typically completed within 4 weeks of the final testing session).
- Feedback Session: A follow-up consultation (face-to-face or via telehealth) to discuss the results, answer your questions, and outline the recommended support strategies and next steps.
Note: The assessment process provides deep clinical insights; however, it does not always result in a formal diagnosis. If additional multi-disciplinary input is required (such as Speech Pathology), we will provide appropriate external referrals to ensure you receive the most robust support possible.
